Their 45-ton GE number 2 was General Electric serial number 15294, built i December 1941 as Weldon Springs Ordnance Depot number 1. This plant was about 25 miles west of St. Louis. The loco was subsequently United States Army 7325, then Avondale Shipyard 3 at Avondale,)Louisiana; then Intracoastal Tubular 2 at Harvey, Louisiana and then Bayou Railcar 2. |
