PRR Frankstown-Petersburg Secondary Line, 1965
Frankstown. Here is an original telephoto view that I took in Frankstown, Pennsylvania, around noon on 17 October 1965. Shown here is the Pennsylvania Railroad's double-tracked Frankstown-Petersburg Secondary line. Notable are the "FRANK" block limit sign and telephone box in the middle of the photo, as well as the back of a whistle post at the right. The H&P Branch line was built around 1903 and was torn-up around 2003. A bicycle path now occupies the space where Consolidateds and Decapods, Mikados and Mountains once roamed.
